Project Valour-IT is a project of Soldiers’ Angels. It’s purpose is to
provide voice-activated laptop computers to wounded troops whose
injuries prevent them from writing or operating a keyboard. The
laptops allow them to keep in contact with family and friends, send
and receive email and access the Web.
Donations are accepted throughout the year, but an annual fundraiser
is held during the weeks leading up to Veteran’s Day. Please consider
donating - 100% of your donation goes to help the troops. No funds are
diverted for “overhead”; this is an entirely volunteer effort.
During this period, bloggers and webmasters join teams representing
the various services - Army, Navy/Coast Guard, Air Force and Marines.
In the spirit of friendly rivalry, the teams compete to see which can
raise the most funds. There are no prizes, save for bragging rights
and the satisfaction of knowing that you helped.
